I set an alarm to be on the website as soon as the tickets were released for the date I wanted. I cannot get past the page where you select the type of credit card you wish to use. It just keeps spinning. I have tried using 3 different devices and selecting 3 different dates and have had no luck. I could seriously cry. Is there any other way to purchase tickets??
The website appears to have crashed as of 1044 CET.
If it's crashed then no-one else can access it either.
EDIT- Twenty minutes later it is back up and running, but no availability for April. Interestingly quite good availability for the whole of next week.
I tried for an HOUR to purchase tickets any of the 4 days that I would be in Amsterdam and had no luck. I used a variety of devices and different servers with zero luck. I am beyond upset.
emmye, I don't blame you for being upset. You might try contacting them and explaining what is going on. Maybe they will have some advice. There is a contact page here: https://www.annefrank.org/en/about-us/contact/contactform-1/
I also found these two phone numbers for them, which would probably be quicker.

I just bought a ticket for March 20. The whole week was open.
Honestly, if this were me, I would skip Amsterdam completely and go somewhere else. For me, the Anne Frank House is the most important reason to go to Amsterdam.
It seems that the website crashed this morning due to too many people wanting to buy tickets. As of right now there are still tickets available for the new week that was released today; the week of April 21.
By 6am EST it stated that all tickets on the dates I was interested in were sold out. I went back onto the site just before 9am just to check and was able to secure 2 tickets! I am SO relieved.
Still giving me a page that I cannot get past….and a few available times on the dates I need!
Jane- I don't know how many tickets you are trying to purchase, but my computer shows that there are only a handful of single ticket+ (which includes the introductory program) available on April 21, 22, 25 and 27. However, if. you just choose a regular ticket, there is a bit more availability.
I am willing to buy ANY ticket….my page says at least 2 in a few times but still cannot get past that page to give it my credit card number!
GOT 2 TICKETS! You had better hold your mouth right because I have no idea why it worked this time….we will have to go late in the day but are THRILLED that while we are in Amsterdam we can see this place! THANK YOU FRIENDS for listening to my frustrations!
Jane- YAY!! So glad you lucked out.
emmye and Jane I am so glad you persevered and got your tickets.
cala- thanks, me too :) I was a history major and have always had a strong interest in learning about and studying the Holocaust.

I do think the Anne Frank House is wonderful and worth seeing, but Amsterdam is so much more! There are many various sites related to the Holocaust—the Dutch Holocaust Museum and the Resistance Museum are two of the best WWII museums I have ever seen. And outside of history, the other museums they have there are incredible. The city is itself is wonderful with a very vibrant atmosphere and so much to see and do. I hope no one would say no to Amsterdam because they can't get into the Anne Frank House.
I took someone’s advice prior to being able to purchase my AFrank tickets and wrote the people at the AFrank house about their website and the confusion…..just to make them aware of the situation….received a nice letter today apologizing for the technical issues they were having. This lady was aware by looking that we did get tickets and she was glad it had worked out for us…..so I am happy to see that the powers-that-be at the AFrank house know this and were so kind to reply. I do know that Amsterdam has so much more to offer….just don’t know when we will be back and want to take advantage of this week and a visit while we are there.
To put things into perspective for those reading this thread; yesterday the tickets were released for the week that starts on Easter Monday April 21, 2025. The blooming of the tulips, the Easter holidays and Kingsday make this week one of the busiest, if not the busiest, in Amsterdam. This means that more people than ever were scrambling to get tickets to the Anne Frank house yesterday. The website simple couldn’t handle the huge amount of interest. In other times of the year the website works fine.
For those tracking this thread, there are sometimes a few tickets released on Tuesdays for just a week out, as well as for 6 weeks out. As dutch_traveler noted, this current thread applies to a very busy time of year in Amsterdam, but it doesn't hurt to look every Tuesday at 10 (AMS) time just in case. And double check the time zone difference, as Europe hasn't yet changed to daylight saving time yet.
This past discussion has more info, including cautions about not purchasing tickets anywhere but the official Anne Frank House website: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/netherlands/anne-frank-tickets-appeal
