My family and I are signed up for the VFR tour in June. We live in Northern Ca and I am trying to figure out flights. I considered Norwegian Air since they fly direct from Oakland to Rome, but given their financial situation I am hesitant to book. Flying out of SFO is my other option since I see great deals for non-stop, roundtrip to London. Does this sound reasonable to fly roundtrip from SFO to London, then fly from London to Venice where the tour begins? Or should I roll the dice and book on Norwegian? Oakland Airport is so much easier to get in and out of. We are traveling a few days prior to the tour to get our bearings. This is our first trip to Italy. TIA for any insight.
