Vaccination expiration requirements for travel to Italy

I imagine that we are all trying to keep abreast of our developing travel requirements. With that in mind, what are the current vaccination expiration requirements for travel to Italy (i.e., length of time our vaccinations are still acceptable)? For example, if I received my first Pfizer dose in March of 2021, my second Pfizer dose in April of 2021 and my Pfizer booster in October of 2021, will I be considered fully vaccinated for a May 2022 trip according to current vaccine requirements?

Thank you Christine. Will an additional booster then be available to get, whether or not it is officially recommended? Or will we just have to just wait and see, and possibly be in a situation where we are suddenly unable, regardless of our own efforts, to go on our tour? The challenge is that many will need to make decisions shortly about whether or not to cancel or reschedule their booked tours and plans. I imagine that many are a bit angsty about all of this, so some sort of official direction or clarification would be helpful.

Each country has different requirements and timescales for boosters. Omicron has brought forward many boosters. A booster from October is likely to be out of date by May. The October dose was pre Omicron, so the formula will give less protection.

Things will change before your trip. The joys of international and intercontinental travel!

i have no idea jon
i'd wait til end of jan to see how/if requirements change and i do feel that they will

we have trip planned for end of april into may- our booster will still be valid (we held off intentionally 11/19) but if we CAN get a fourth we probably will

(sorry about no caps-had hand surgery recently and it's too difficult to get the shift key!)

We too are watching this topic with interest. Our third was in late August, so anything we plan for Spring onward we are going to presumably have to get that 4th, which brings the questions, how many of these boosters are too many? Guess we are all in a wait and see!

It’s just never ending! My booster hits the 6 month mark in March. Our travel date is May.

Worrying about the same thing we leave March 31 my son and I will get our booster this month which hopefully will be okay. My husband and daughter are 6 months out of second dose April 15 not sure if they can get a booster at this point.

Marriott’s partner hotel in Naples already said our planned July visit could not be accommodated as my wife and I received boosters mid December.

I’m on the phone right now with ITA Airways trying to get something definitive from the airline. According to this new vaccine expiration, we would not be able to board a regional flight in Italy.

When does the expiration date start/finish?

We got our booster shot Nov 13, 2021. We are hopefully going this April by transatlantic cruise arriving in Rome May 9. We intend to stay in Italy flying home from Rome June 2.

Six months from our booster would put the six month expiration date at May 13. Since we are already in Italy at that time, will it be an issue staying for the whole trip?

Current requirements as linked to above are good thru Jan 31.
I assume there will be changes at that time so no sense worrying needlessly now.
Just stay abreast of the changes by following the OFFICIAL sites-

IOW- ignore posts like "my friend says this" or "a clerk told me that"

The CDC certificate is not controlled when you enter in Italy, but every time you enter in a place where is required. So until the 13th of May you can enter in a restaurant, the 14th you cannot.
But, as ChristineH says, we don't know how long will be valid this laws. When you are closer to the trip check again and if needed do a booster.
