Trying to purchase Borghese Galleria Tickets on line- frustrated

So I'm on the correct web site www.tosc.it. And it's asking me for social security(or also says fiscal code, billing address, province.
I marked "withdrawal at venue." I believe that's to pick up ticket there, correct? Any way I'm not giving my social but that doesn't matter because it's saying to put my full name which I did and my phone number, which I did, and all this other stuff that I did and it's saying I didn't. Frustrated to say the least. Really want to see this place.

Please do not suggest that I call because I have noway of calling to Italy. I already borrowed my daughter's cell phone to call Italy last month and the bill was $50 for 4 minutes!

I just worked it through ( in Italian) and had no trouble getting to the payment page.

For the fiscal code, as soon as I entered my country as "USA" ( which oddly showed as USA not Stati Uniti even on the Italian page) it filled in the fiscal code field with EE1.

It also indicated I had the option of having the tickets mailed ( for almost €30) but I stuckmwith the "retrieve onsite" option.

And now I just did it in English and it worked the same. I did not have to enter "city of birth" or VAT number, just my address and zip code.

You might try a different computer or browser. I am using Safari on my iPad.

Okay gals and guys
Not working!!!!!!!!
I am also marking "not consenting" to all their stuff and leaving the the email stuff unchecked,

Still put USA, asking me for fiscal code, province, addresss came automatically.
Telling me phone number is needed when it's there. How do you write your phone number any, +1 000-000-0000?
Using Chrome browser on an old lap top

Help.

Tried in italian, no go!

Try EE1 for the fiscal code. That is what auto-filled on mine when I selected USA.

I wrote my phone number with no spaces, starting with "1", so 12082324567 ( don't worry, not my real number).

I believe you have to consent to the use of your data (how else can they charge your credit card.) but not to the email ads.

If you don't allow them to contact you by email how will they send any confirmation to you?

I just meant the promotions and ads they send you by email. One can opt out of that without jeopardizing the ticket purchase.

I had trouble with this too. Don't let Chrome autotranslate for you or use Internet Explorer. Then page down to the middle of the page and there is a box on the right that says the language and you can change it there to English. That will make the form populate correctly when you go to check out. Make sure you print the email they send you after you have bought your tickets bc I read that someone could not pick up their tickets bc they didn't have the email and the credit card used. You also have to check bags (no purses) and pick up your ticket so make sure you get there at least 30 mins ahead of your time. If you still have trouble PM me and we can get on the computer and I will walk you thru it at the same time you are online. I know how frustrating it can be. I had problems with the night show at the forums as well. I had to use Internet Explorer and do it in Italian and hold my iphone up with the camera function of Google Translate to be able to book that one.

I had troubles like this initially, but used the solution Lola suggested and was successful. I use either Safari or Chrome on a Mac, and I think it was the Chrome browser that worked for me. And I used the English site. We picked up our tickets at the galleria. Be sure to get there nice and early so you can check your bags and get your audioguide without standing in long lines. Also the strategy of starting on the top floor was another good crowd avoidance trick. Good luck, the experience is worth the extra effort!

By the way, there are many ways to make international calls cheap, like Skype, Google Hangouts, Viber, among others. It's way cheaper than to make calls from your cell phone.

Hope you could solve your problems!

Aloha MR and Everyone!

Finally figured it out and even did it in Italian. Can't believe I did i! LOL

And MR how can you call by Skype, and those others? I use Skype but another person has to have Skype. I can't imagine Borghese Galleria having Skype. Do they really want to talk face to face with a person. Lol Maybe I'm missing something here.
Skype, Google Hangouts, Viber, how do they all work? Or rather please direct me where I can find info about the latter 2.

I'm sorry I am just seeing what your wrote.
You can add credit to Hangouts, Skype etc and make calls to local numbers, they have very good prices!

Does anyone know when the site will offer Borghese Gallery tickets beyond October 6?

The word out there (from someone on TA who called the gallery) is that the museum is changing/about to change an exhibit and to start checking the site around Sept. 13th or so. Temporary exhibits can affect ticket prices so they'll update the website when they have solid info to do so.

As someone else said, you can buy credits and use Skype to make voice-only calls to any number. I put $10 on my account in 2015 before our first trip to Europe and still have more than $9 left. Skype bugs me every six months or so to make a call to keep the balance from going dormant. A 10 second call to my home number costs a few cents and keeps it active.

Obviously, I don't use it much, but it's a much cheaper option than 50 bucks for a 10 minute call.

For some reason I couldn't get through the 3-D Secure process with my Visa card. It's unclear why because I know my card company participates in the "Verified by Visa" program and I am signed up and the card has cleared the process before in other uses. I think the problem was a slow response from the CC company.

I discovered an easy solution. I chose to use Paypal instead. The very same Visa card is my designated choice in Paypal and the purchase succeeded immediately. Paypal performs the necessary verification.

Thank you Diana and Kathy! We decided to reserve October 6 at 7:00 PM so that we won't have to leave until 10:00 PM.

This is from the official website:

Just got on and got to the last page for the week just added and it won't accept my visa card. Tried on chrome and safari. Suggestions?

I read the suggestion to check paypal - I didn't have a paypal account, but it asked me to enter my cc info and it went through. Strange I couldn't use my cc directly.

I may be wrong, but It seems to me that the Borghese Gallery has tagged along with the Vatican's Museums and joined the Verified By Visa security program for online purchases.

I doubt you're wrong, Dario, except Silas Marner said above that his card has "Verified by Visa" and he couldn't get through the online purchase process so something else evidently caused his snag.

I was having the same issue this morning with my CC and just changed the payment option to Paypal and that worked just fine. Also, i had the same problem with the Fiscal code and just used an online tool to generate one for me. Here is the link: https://zip-codes.nonsolocap.it/codice-fiscale/

Make sure you use STATI UNITI D'AMERICA as the country.

I entered "EE1" as my fiscal code and choose "USA" (Yes, in English, not Italian) in the pull down list.
