We are visiting Rome this coming week and had heard good things about the Borghese Gallery. But when I tried to do the online registration through ticketone.it, the form requires a fiscal code. I looked this up, and basically it is requiring my social security number to purchase an online ticket. I am not comfortable with providing my social security number. Is there any way around this?

Have you chosen USA as your country? It shouldn't ask for a fiscal code if you are American.
I think any number works. The code is for Italians.
I did choose USA. However, I read on another forum that you can put in another identifying number. This was other travelers, not official. They mentioned your passport number or your driver's license. Thanks!!
Had the same trouble at first but passport # works.
We had the same issue - none of the suggestions we googled worked, so I emailed the museum directly, and they wrote back with the code EE1. It worked for us!

If you’re still having a problem, you can generate a Codice Fiscale on this website. If born in the US, enter Stati Uniti. I had to do this to get a TrenItalia registration.
You don't need a fiscal code.
Check the box for "individual" and change the country to USA. Fiscal code EE1 should auto fill.

Hi, I am also having problems purchasing a ticket. I get all the way to the October calendar and then I cannot get anything to work.

Lorrie, if you're trying to purchase for a date after Oct 6th, tickets aren't available yet. The word on another thread is that they'll become available near the end of this month. Just keep an eye on the website for October dates to activate.
