Trouble booking for Uffici

Hello team, I will visit the Uffici museum in March. I have tried to book tickets on line and I also phoned. For some reason they are not allowing me to buy tickets. I read that there is a new policy for Uffici, each name is required. Does anyone jnow know why I can't book now tickets? And when can I? March is only 5 weeks away.
Thanks, Jim

Right. It's tough to know what your issue is if we can't do a dummy booking all the way through the process, and I was able to get as far as Christine did so not sure what the hang-up is. What did they tell you when you phoned? This previous poster, who had called trying to reserve tickets for July, was told they aren't taking reservations for summer yet:

While your trip is much sooner than theirs, it may still be a little too early to purchase tickets for March but what advice did they give you? That said, try again on the official site Christine has provided, making SURE you've filled in all of the required information and checked BOTH security and privacy statement boxes.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I had no trouble to get tickets for the Academia. I will phone them again and see what's up with the Uffici and their new policy beginning March 1 to give the names. Jim

I have had problems trying to book Accademia and Uffizi tickets through B-Tickets. I’ll try later, as it may be too early. (I am traveling in May.) I have purchased other tickets from Italy with no problems.

I was able to set up an account and clear all the steps right up to paying for the tickets. Every time I try it says "Error". I checked and it specifically states they can take US credit cards. I tried a different card wit same results. I have an ad blocker on my home computer. I have the same problem with purchases through the points portal for American Airlines - everything works up until paying.

I tried on my work computer that does not have ad blocker with same results.

I talked to both banks and they said no request or any sort of contact came to them from the company processing the charges at all. Not even when I tried again on my work computer with no ad blocker while I had a manager in the credit cards department at my bank on the phone. It must be hitting the error before any attempt at actually processing the charge occurs.

I ended up booking a tour which was only very slightly more expensive just to not deal with the stress.

Thanks for getting back to us, James! Sounds like a COVID thing; some attractions, like the UFFIZI, have gotten really sick of handling large numbers of refunds/future vouchers because of the fluidity of mandates. Shortening the amount of time purchases can be made in advance can eliminate some of that potential headache. If I was to venture a guess, this might change in the future if/when the infection numbers go down significantly.

James, have you been successful landing your March tickets yet?

Hello team, I wanted to update the problem of the Uffizi Gallery reservations in Florence. I finally was successful. Last Saturday on Feb 12 I tried again on line but was unsuccessful. I phoned and the person was able to take my reservation with no problem for March 10. She said they have been having trouble with their on line reservations. You do have to give the name and birthday of each person. Also you have to only pay the 4 Euro reservation fee. When you collect the tickets, you pay for the tickets.

May March 7 trip for 2 weeks in Rome is almost set. I do have a Covid test at my doctors office for morning of the trip. I hope it will be negative!!

Thanks, James! So glad you nailed your tickets!
Sound like the best way to get info until their reservation system is fixed is to phone them.
