Travel Bag

Not sure I'm on the right forum but couldn't find another one that seemed to fit! I will be going to England, Switzerland, Italy and Croatia soon and I'm having a difficult time finding a crossbody secure travel purse that will hold a 26 oz Britta water bottle. The purse part doesn't have to be huge - will be carrying payment cards, passport, glasses and a few minor thing...it's really the water bottle size I need to sort out. I've looked at other forums and there have been a lot of suggestions - and I've explored quite a few of them - but can not find one to accommodate the water bottle. I would appreciate any ideas anyone might have. Thanks and looking forward to your replies.

If that large size water bottle is your sticking point you may want to rethink that?

I'd also be looking for a smaller water bottle. Something around 16 fl oz (500 ml). Just refill during meal or coffee breaks.

If you are wedded to that big bottle, there are gadgets that will hold the bottle and attach to your bag with a carabiner.

Hi, you mentioned the contents of your purse, and it seems that you like to carry a minimum of items. When I am traveling to Europe, I also really want my crossbody purse as light as possible because it’s not the place to have your shoulder start hurting from being out all day enjoying yourself. So, this leads me to a thought that you are welcome to ignore. : ). I travel to Europe each year, and I generally do not see people carrying water around with them outside of touristy locations. In other words & this is a general statement, if I see someone carrying a water bottle, it is likely an American. So, think whether you really need to be carrying 2 lbs of extra weight - bottle & water weight. There’s plenty of places to stop and have a hydration beverage unless you’re on a mountain hike, and the water in these countries is safe to drink. I’ve recently been to each of the countries you mentioned without a water bottle and did fine.

Ha ha, Laurie Beth, thanks! It is much easier spending other people's money, lol!
