Southern Italy tour Naples to Rome train

Booked on the Southern Italy tour that ends in Naples in November. Just found out Naples airport will be closed all of November 2026. Need to get to fiumicino to fly home and was wondering if anyone has done with maneuver Is it realistic to be able to catch a 1 pm flight back home?

When I took this tour, my return flight was out of FCO. I spent an extra day in Naples (the hotel held my luggage), then took a train late in the afternoon to Rome. I had a leisurely meal and comfortable night at an airport hotel (Hilton, I believe) and left for home early the next morning.

Hi, Giangilberto from Milan, so I'll just add one little thing, if you take the train to go from Naples to Rome, for example, in November, it falls in the middle of the strike season.
I just looked at the Ministry of Transport website, link below:

https://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi

where all the strikes are listed, but today the last one reported is from October 30th, so it will probably be updated with subsequent strikes, and November dates will almost certainly appear. So you should understand this issue regarding strikes, and if there were to be a strike during the day you decide to travel by train, Trenitalia publishes Table A and Table B, which specify the trains that will run even during strikes, with certain procedures that are explained on the website.
Let's say they are a sort of guaranteed trains. The tables are permanent, so you can check your train now, without waiting for the strike to be called.

The last thing about Capodichino airport. So, I checked the airport's official website, Gesac, which manages Naples Capodichino airport says that there will be some work in the month of November, but it doesn't specify which dates of the month of November will be touched even less if it will be the whole month of November.
On some other sites there are versions that talk about dates ranging from 10 to 30 November but I repeat they are secondary sites.
I would rely on what is the official source of the airport website, today the site does not specify dates other than November without any date.
