Hotel recommendations near Rome airport

We need a hotel close to the airport where we can drop off our luggage in the morning, tour Rome during the day,and return to the hotel at night before our morning flight the following day.

Airport Hilton is basically attached to the terminals
Walk or moving sidewalk
You can drop bags then return to terminal to catch LE to Termini or from the hotel ofrom airport take a taxi to center

I believe the Hilton Garden requires a shuttle to/from

Since you’ve only got the one day I would splurge to make the most of that little time

We just booked Hotel Tiber Rooftop, only a couple miles from FCO with shuttle service.

I'd be sure to check out the shuttle service...does it run on fixed times, or do they drive you at your convenience?
Just in case the shuttle does not work out, taxi is easy and to more than about 15e from airport to town.

Just to clarify- pretty sure ekscrunchy means to the town where Hotel Tiber is- Fiumicino-- not Rome

If you can get a discount, by all means go to QC Grand Hotel Roma. Website is qcterme.com. It was an incredible experience.

Aliceandgomez I’ve never stayed at the Seccy, however it looks nice on the website photos. But check if they have a shuttle because the taxi from Fiumicino (town) to the airport is subject to the minimum fare of 25€, although the ride is only a couple of miles long, so if you have to go there by taxi and then again take another taxi in the morning, the cost ads up.

To everybody.
Since September 2025 the City of Fiumicino taxicabs with the license issued by the City of Fiumicino, will charge a flat fare of €80 from the airport (or from Fiumicino town) to Rome.
The taxicabs licensed by the City of Rome still charge 55€ from the airport to Rome city center.
I know it’s confusing, but just make sure you board the taxicab licensed by the City of Rome if you are going to Rome City center. So ask before hand what the taxi fare will be.
