I'm planning a family trip to Greece and Italy for mid-May (6 of us).
Our plan has us leaving Greece from Santorini and going to Positano. There are no direct flights to Naples. We are flying to Rome (FCO) via Athens on Aegean Air.
Currently, my plan was to take a train from FCO to Naples and then a driver from Naples to Positano with, possibly, a 2 or 3 hour stop in Pompeii.
That said, because of possible flight delays, I hesitate to buy saver tickets in advance as they are non refundable. That leaves me with paying a 'Base" fare which will be around €250 (total for 6) and I would imagine another € 200 for car service from Naples to Positano (maybe more with a stop in Pompeii).
Is anyone aware of a trustworthy car service that we could take all the way from Rome (FCO)? Between the train and car service we are at € 450. Could straight car service from Rome be that much more?
Thanks for your assistance.
