Our family of 6 (adult children and 2 parents) will be in Rome over Christmas. Any suggestions for restaurants on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or special activities (already know about the Christmas markets). Thanks!
We were in Rome at Christmas time over 30 years ago. My recollection is that restaurants were open, but I'm sure you should get reservations pronto. You're likely to find the restaurants in the ghetto will be open on Christmas day.
There have been some postings on this in the past few months that might be useful for you. These two are quite pertinent with ideas for sites and also restaurants. Do make reservations a week or ten days in advance!

Check out Ristorante Crispi 19 and Ad Hoc. We ate at both last year, and they were amazing!! Also check out il Gabriello for seafood, but they are closed Dec 24-26th/
