Rome: Extra coliseum ticket

I accidentally bought a ticket for the coliseum for the day before I arrive in Italy. Is there a way to return, sell or donate that ticket? I tried to contact the ticket office but got no response. Went ahead and just bought another ticket for the right day. Hate to waste the original ticket if don’t have to
