I've just learned that the train travel on Trenitalia that I've scheduled for my family of 5 from Monterosso al Mare to Pisa to Florence on May 29th will be affected by a scheduled railway strike. Looks like bus service and airlines are all shut down that day, too. Can anyone recommend a reliable, reasonably priced, private transport, or tour company that would take us to these locations that day? Or, can anyone suggest other alternatives? Thanks for your help.
I haven't used this service personally but it's been recommended by others in past forum threads:
https://daytrip.com
(It was previously called MyDayTrip)
Just one thread with quite a number of positive reco's for the company:

This is a transfer/driver service and not for guide services; the two can be mutually exclusive in Italy due to strict licensing for tour guides. It's not impossible for a guide to be licensed for both but it's more common for a driver not to double as a guide.
Reasonable? I wouldn't expect it to be inexpensive, especially if they have to wait for you while you tour Pisa, and if fuel prices continue to climb into later spring. Enter your info into the website and see how it prices out.
Strikes don't always happen but sometimes they certainly do and if it's turning into a nationwide or multi-union strike it may become more likely to happen. The strike is scheduled from 21:00 on 2026-05-28 to 21:00 on 2026-05-29 so that means no risking it and seeing if you can get out early before the strike on the morning of the 29th.
There are tour or transfer services or car rental as alternatives or you might think about leaving a day early. I know the idea of shorting your time is hard but the cost of am extra night in Florence - and possible eating the cost of your CT lodging - is a tough idea but balance that against the cost and trouble of a strike day transfer. You could book the night in Florence - maybe refundable - and then make a decision while you're there depending on how serious the threat of a strike seems.
This is a tour company I have used for local guides and my experience was great. They also organize cruise tours from places like Livorno for the surrounding area so CT, Pisa, Florence with transportation certainly seems like it would be something they could easily arrange. I'd reach out to them for availability and a quote if you're interested in the tour part rather than just transportation.

I haven't used them for transportation tours, but they've been doing it locally for a long time.
Here's another link but not a recommendation: https://www.civitatours.com/product/transfer-tuscany/shore-excursion-livorno-lucca-and-pisa-tower/
The good news is because of the proximity of cruise ports transportation tours in this area is common.
Good luck,
