Recommendations for Capri from Sorrento and Blue Grotto

Has anyone booked both the trip to Capri and Blue Grotto with the same company? Recommendations on which company to use? We are going in May. Thank you.

We did Capri on our own and purposely skipped the grotto but Mondo Shared Tours - recommended by Rick Steves - has a tour of the island that includes the grotto if it's not closed to rough seas/weather conditions: it's not always accessible. It's the "Capri In Private Boat" tour:

Here's one review from RS poster Derek who took that tour (and in his case the grotto was indeed inaccessible):

A mention of this tour in this thread:

" The next day we took Mondo Tours Rick Steves shared Capri day. It was wonderful. The guides were so much fun. We had a great day on Capri. We even rode the chairlift in Ana Capri. We came back and walked to town for dinner. We found the best restaurant and returned again it was so good."

We also skipped the Blue Grotto, a notorious time-sucker, which is sometimes closed for wave action. Any tour will transfer you to a TINY boat requiring tipping the oarsman, who is not employed by your tour company. Getting to the grotto by foot, on land, may be tedious. (?) Like most visitors, we did the ferry from Sorrento on our own. Visiting Capri takes a lot of time and a lot of walking, like miles and miles. Much of the island is pedestrianized. A taxi can't take you everywhere, for any amount of money. Even in the last week of May, both our ferries were jammed, with hundreds of passengers. No "outside deck" for photos.

It is fair to say that some visitors place huge value on a boat trip that circles Capri, which obviously the ferries do not do. We were satisfied with scenic views of the cliffs and islets from public places on Capri. Personal choice.
