I could use some clarification on where I stand with the tickets. I purchased tickets from Venice to Monterosso, thru Milan, on the FrecciaBianca and Intercity (2 legs.) I printed the travel summary page which has a retrieval code. It says an email will be sent. I bought the tickets on 12/28/2104 for travel on 4/26/2015. To date there has been no email. I also entered a mobile phone number, but no text was received. When I go to the "manage my ticket" section, I can't get any information using my email address or retrieval code. It either says invalid email, or gives me an error code. I did not register before buying the tickets. Am I o.k. with the retrieval code or do I need the PNR? Do I need to register even though I'm not an Italian citizen? Thanks in advance from all you experienced travelers.
You will need the PNR and I believe you have a problem similar to another recent poster. Try reading through the following thread. Make sure you work through it from the beginning:

If that does not help let me know.
Hi,
I had the same problem, never got the email ticket. I contacted them online here http://reclami-e-suggerimenti.trenitalia.com/Reclami/Default.aspx?language=en. I think after the complaint form, it becomes all in Italian but you can figure it out. I told them in English I had not received my ticket yet and asked them to resend it. I gave them my itinerary and the confirmation as well. I got the ticket emailed to me in less than 24 hours. HTH
Calling them during business hours may help - agents speak English. Phone number is on the website.
Thanks. I'll try these and let you know.
Thanks MPH, Jackie and Zoe. I finally got the email. MPH, I followed a similar process to yours. I had been using Safari and switched to Firefox. After reentering the info for retrieval a few times, I got those pop up boxes. Then I got to the page to request they send the email again. I did, and although they said the email was successfully sent, I never received it (I waited overnight.) I did it all again this morning and there was an option to change the email address. I changed it to my Gmail account, and it went through.
Should I go ahead and register anyway-it's there any benefit? If so, do I use my hotel address in Venice, since that's where we're departing from?
Thanks again.
Hey, thanks also, mph! Looked at what I had printed out for Milan/Florence & Florence/Salerno in March, and no PNR. Oh no. So I went back on my EMails and about 3 days after I booked, found the Trenitalia EMails with the .pdf attachments. Printed them out, got 'em now.
Another RS travel forum miracle! :)
Hi va and Jay. Glad my advice helped. I would not worry about registering va. Just make sure you dont delete the email with your pnr. Keep it is a bacup to the copy you have printed.
Will do, thanks.
