Port of Chioggia italy

My Viking cruise ends in the Port of Chioggia Italy
I am going to Verona Italy and would like the best way to get from the cruise port to Verona Italy
I am not sure if I have to travel into Venice itself to get the train from Porto Nuovatrain station or can I get a transfer to a train from this port

Need suggestions. Thank you

Have a look at the Trenitalia website. It seems to show different solutions depending on time of day. Most likely a bus connecting to a regional train.

Our Viking cruise (Fall 2024) also ended in Chioggia. You do not have to go into Venice, we went to Padova directly on the bus. I used the Trenitalia app. I believe the bus continued on to Verona. If not, you can take a train to Verona from Padova, takes about an hour. I got some help on the forum:

We purchased the tickets on the bus. Other people on our cruise met the bus at the bus station. The bus stop we used was closer than the bus station. Our walk was about .75 miles

The bus stop was in Chioggia, the stop we used was via Naccari. I'd check the app because things can change. Also, sometimes the day of the week matters. Its kind of a blur for us, there were strikes that weekend. (Bus was on strike one day and the train the next day)

Since there were some strikes mentioned recently, it's smart to double-check current services. Good luck with your travel plans!

Chioggia is beautiful, with canals, if I had the time I would spend a day or two there before moving on.
It's known as the "Little Venice."
