I think that I just posted this query in the wrong forum, so I am reposting here. We will be starting the RS Best of South Italy tour on May 2 and are looking at options on how to best use the free time we will have on this trip. The Path of the Gods is very interesting to us and were wondering if we would have the time to do this. We will have some free time in Positano and are considering this. The hike looks like it takes several hours to complete and appears quite rigorous. We are wondering if it is possible to do just a portion of the trail and still experience the beautiful views but take less time and require less stamina.
Thanks for any input you might share.
It looks like you have all of day 8 free. The trail is 7k long and depending on your style, can be
done in 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace. You could do only the Positno-Amalfi portion and take the
bus back from Agerola. This could also be done in reverse and would avoid some steep up hill
climbs. Take water!!
Hi Pat! I asked a similar question last year and got a few responses. So I thought I would post that link. Ultimately, we ran out of time to do the hike. But in my research, I did find organized tours/walks of various intensities.

I appreciate the information about the Path of the Gods. I have ordered the book mentioned and look forward to receiving it. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy a portion of this beautiful hike!
Hi Janet! I got an email asking about the book mentioned on this thread. I don't see your query here and when I tried responding to the email, it failed. Hopefully you will see this here. Kristen responded that she had asked this question about a year ago. She posted a link to the response she received. The book is "Walking the Amalfi Coast". I found it on Amazon and am looking forward to seeing it. It also has information identifying plants/flowers that would be nice as you hike. Are you thinking about doing this? We will be there the first part of May and would like to do at least a portion of this trail, hopefully it works out. Happy travels! Posted by Kristen
