Necroplis tour of st peter's

Has anyone recently tried to make a reservation for this tour? I have been trying for weeks to send a fax to them at the number listed on the vatican website and it's either busy (during business hours) or doesn't pick up at all after hours. I have sent an email to them on their site but never got a response for my request in the beginning of may 2024. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I sent a reservation request through the automated form on the website about 2 weeks ago for dates in late April and I have not received any response. I also sent a direct email about a week ago, but again I have not received any response.

I have been trying for weeks as well. The website will not take my request for a reservation. I tried numerous times on multiple devices. It just keeps saying there is an error on the page. I sent multiple emails to let them know there seems to be a problem with the site. Both through their link on the reservation page and through my own email. There has been no response. I've done this tour twice before, so I know how it works. This is very disappointing.

Hmmm, sounds like it could be a frustrating issue on their end!
I have seen that sometimes it can take some time for them to respond but, poodlema07, that it rejects your form after entering 1 for number of participants is weird. Stupid question but are you using the numeral 1 or spelling it out? Maybe could make a difference?

I would google scavi tour, see what email comes up and other options might include buying commercial tickets. Chck this site as well: https://www.pnac.org/scaviandcatacombs/. I also try to do my emails to sites in Europe at night (I am US Mountain Time) so to my mind arrives there first thing in the AM and if a weekday they have the day to respond, hopefully.

I sent an email last May for my trip this coming May and received confirmation just a few weeks ago. I know someone who emailed a request last April and received confirmation in October (for an April trip). This is obviously a very popular tour, and they only allow 250 people a day. From my experience, I'd guess you'd have to send your email at least 6 months ahead.

Good luck.

Strange, I booked this tour for two prior visits (last was April 2022) and they responded within a few hours of my request. Fingers crossed, I'm trying to get in for this April. If I don't hear anything, I'll swing by and see what I can do while on the ground there. My only saving grace is that I'll be in Rome for a few weeks, so I'll be pretty flexible.
