We will be in Naples October 2026 and would like suggestions for what area to look for a hotel. We want a place convenient to train so we can visit Pompeii and Herculaneum. We would like to be in an area with choices for restaurants and morning coffee.

So far, the hotels suggested in Naples for Oct. 2026 are already booked up.
I spent several nights at https://www.grandhoteloriente.it/ and was very happy there. The Toledo metro stop is a block away and will take you to the main train station where you can catch the Cicrumvesuviana, I went to Pompeii and Herculaneum on separate days. However, it is about three times more distant from the Naples archaeological museum than the Hotel Piazza Bellini that is often recommended on the forum.
OP, they likely haven’t opened up the schedule yet as that is over a year away.
