Hello, I am trying to plan a trip to Milan coming from Wengen Switzerland. We want to stay at a place with shopping and attractions like central historic area but easy access to the airport since we are flying out of Milan to Alabama. We will not be renting a car. Any suggestions?

If you are flying home from MXP airport, I'd stay close to Milano Cadorna station and the lively Navigli (Canals) district. Cadorna is also a metro station, so you could get to the "posh" Duomo area in 10 minutes.
Note that Milan has 3 airports and that MXP-Malpensa is quite far from the city center. The journey from Milano Cadorna is 10 minutes faster than the one from Milano Centrale station.

I ORIGINALLY HAD PLANNED TO COME IN TO DOMODOSSOLA TO STAY AND VISIT THE LAST SUPPER FORA DAY TRIP THEN FLY OUT OF MILAN BUT THINKING MAY BE BETTER TO STAY IN MILAN VS DOMODOSSOLA??
