Hello, wife and I spending one night in Rome in mid April. Looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel near Termini. Thank you in advance.

Inexpensive is a subjective attribute. Inexpensive for some might be still too expensive for others.
Years ago I stayed at this hotel near Termini. I thought it was nice and not expensive.

A cute place near Termini was mentioned in recent Frommer's/Italy book "The Beehive". I looked into it and it sounds perfect as a solo traveler for my one night out of Rome back US. I booked a single room with en-suite in November. Take a look....it is a combo hostel/hotel so private rooms are available with private bath or shared. Only two blocks from the station. Seems like a great place to also meet other travelers with their garden and group events.
