We have wanted to see the Vasari Corridor for years and when we have been in Florence, it hasn't been open. It appears that it will open shortly. We will be in Florence the end of May. Has anyone heard any more information on its opening? Thanks All!
I recently checked the Uffizi site https://www.uffizi.it/en/corridoio-vasariano. Wording has been changed, but it still asks people to watch that page for news. I was disappointed when it hadn’t opened by last September. Hope you get to see it.
In October on a Rick Steves tour, I asked our local guide about the opening and got an eye-roll, lol. He said, lots of problems. New director, antiquities (bodies actually) uncovered, etc.
I'd bookmark the page SJS linked to and probably sign up for the Uffizi newsletter and then just wait.
Here is a link to a thread from last Sept about progress and Dario had some insight.

Thank you SJS and Pam!
Between "this is Italy" and finding of bones - it truly may be some time. I'll keep watching - and no matter what, will go by in May! Appreciate your kind help and comments.
