Our family is heading to Rome for the first time in April 2027, and we’ll be traveling with our 10-year-old son.
We’re currently looking for a VRBO/apartment in Rome and would LOVE to hear from anyone who has stayed somewhere they would genuinely recommend. First-hand experiences are what I’m most interested in! If you have a specific apartment or host you loved (or even one you’d avoid), I’d really appreciate hearing about it.
We’re open to different neighborhoods — Centro Storico, Trastevere, Monti, etc. — so location doesn’t have to be in one particular area.
Our must-haves are (they are lofty, I know!)
🛏️ 3 beds (or sleeping arrangements for 3)
🧺 Washing machine
❄️ A/C
📶 Free Wi-Fi
🤫 Semi-quiet neighborhood (we’d love to sleep well after a long day of sightseeing!)
If you’ve stayed in a VRBO in Rome that you loved and would happily book again, please share the listing or tell me about it! We’d especially love recommendations from families who have visited with kids.
Thank you for your help!!
