Filler Sites in Rome

Traveling to Rome on May 26th. We will go shopping on the 26th. We have the following planned:
May 27th: 9am Vatican Tour
May 28th: 3:30 - 6:30pm Colloseum Tour
May 29th: Cooking lesson 10:30-2:30.

We aren't really museum people. Can you please give me some sites to do in between our scheduled events. I want to do the Jewish Quarter.

What influenced your decision to visit Rome? I ask because you appear to be struggling to find "filler sites," and are even trying to justify visiting the Vatican. I would not spend my time and money on travel to somewhere that holds no real interest.

Rome (all of Italy, for that matter) is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to things to see and do, but you need to have at least a passing interest in history and art, which it sounds like you do not. If you're not "museum people," other than shopping and cooking, what do you like? That would help give suggestions that may actually work for you.
