My friend and I will be in Venice for a couple of days and want to take a day trip to Padova before heading to Florence in the evening. Does anyone know if there is a place to store our bags at the train station?

Here's a tip for leaving Padova. Be sure to buy your departure tickets WHEN YOU ARRIVE in Padova. There's always a late day rush at the machines and the ticket windows. We learned this the hard way.

That's a good tip for anywhere in Italy at any time on any day, especially if you for some reason don't plan to use the ticket machines. The line may not look long, but most of the people in the line have a complex transaction to complete and will not be spending just 30 seconds at the window!
