I've been trying to purchase tickets through Coop Culture for the Colosseum in Rome. When I go to the site I am unable to purchase them for May 23rd. Does anyone know if they are only available 30 days before or another way to use their site? Thank you!
It's too early. It's usually about 30 days in advance.
These recent threads might be useful.. :O)

Thank you!
Unlike in the past, it is now terribly difficult to get tickets for the Colosseum—and not only for the special areas. Even the “general admission” tickets (Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill) are tough to come by. I’ve been keeping an eye on availability and have noticed that if you choose to get a ticket that includes the audiovideo guide or an audio guide for the Colosseum, there is availability.
I subscribe to a letter from a woman who leads tours to Italy 6-8 times a year. She just put out one specifically mentioning that the big 3rd party resellers evidently are using bots to go in and purchase all the tickets as soon as they are available. Coopculture lost their ‘contract’ with the Colosseum in Rome to be first in line so they are now competing for tickets. She has spent hours trying to get tickets for her tours and isn’t having any luck even when she logs on immediately as they go on sale. She did mention that often there is a better chance of obtaining tickets for later in the day but those also seem to be sporadic. Also mentioned was the practice of the 3rd party resellers to sell futures. They don’t have the tickets either, but are hoping to get them so there is no guarantee if you purchase a tour through them that they will actually have that ticket available. Thus cancelling the tour.
She’s hoping that the Colosseum will be changing there ticketing system again by this fall. Seems they have a record of changing reasonably often
I realized that I could easily make myself crazy trying to get a ticket for a mid-morning Saturday at the end of April so decided to just get a late in the day—5:45–& be done with it. I’m staying nearby so that actually makes sense for me.
@christa It’s usually much less crowded at that time than in the middle of the day. I find visiting later in the day more pleasant than in the morning (when the Colosseum is really busy) and at mid-day. Enjoy!

I'd ended one of my posts in a thread about ticket-release dates almost 4 years ago with this:
LOL, due to the MANY changes coopculture has made to ticketing this
past year, I'll swear to the info above only for the next 5 minutes or
so. Keep an eye on the site for any further changes...
At that point in time, they were changing release schedules about as often as my socks. I guess all we can do is wait and see what transpires regarding future ticket sales? Ednaoz, while you don't specify which Coopculture tickets you're trying to buy, those which include the Colosseum underground have been a challenge to land for at least the past 6 years if not longer; the most in-demand tickets for any attraction in Rome.
Yes, 30 days in advance. I just went through this two days ago, trying to get tickets for May 9th. Logged on Coopculture site, opened 5 different tabs, one for each ticket offered, just before midnight Pacific time, 9am Rome time when they go on sale. Trying for the English underground tour, clock stuck midnight and I watched the May 9th date go from gray to red in an instant. Sold out. Never had a chance. Jumped to the underground ticket with no tour, sold out. Jumped to the regular ticket and it was still gray, not sold out but not offered. Tried the audio visual aided ticket, not offered, still gray. Waited until 1 am and the individual regular ticket went from gray to red in an instant. Sold out. Jumped to the A/V ticket and there were 6 tickets left for the day. Got my two tickets for the audio visual option at 9:30am for May 9th and felt very lucky to have gotten them. Best luck on your attempt and hope you can score your tickets.
My wife and I stayed up til 2am to buy tickets 30 days out for 9am time slot. We continued refreshing the CoopCulture website till at 2:10am slots became available for 9:10am Rome time zone. I immediately added tickets to my cart and began checkout. I entered my name and credit card info and received an email saying transaction was refused. Meanwhile my wife’s browser errored out. By the time we retried a few minutes later, all tickets were sold.
We’re not happy with the website. We gave up and bought the 3 times more expensive tickets through a third-party.
Just a reminder about the on-site ticket office that just opened in late spring.

I do not believe you can buy tickets for underground tours there (which I personally think is not worth the pain of sitting up half the night trying to land those tickets) but at least you can get into the thing. Given the summer heat, would advise getting in line early in the morning - before the office opens - and the entrance time slot they give you is likely to be immediate. For that reason, reports are that if you are purchasing multiple tickets, your entire party must be present at time of purchase.
