Our family of 4 will be staying in the Chianti wine region for 5 days in July and are hoping to have a bit more flexibility in deciding what we want to do each day. We don’t want to have to schedule things days in advance.. is it realistic to be able to call ahead, say and hour or so in advance? Is it bad form to just pop into a winery without reservations and ask if a winery has availability for tasting? We don’t necessarily need to take a tour of every winery..

The Castello di Brolio (a major visitors' destination) will appear in the Chianti Classico website under Ricasoli, the name of the estate owning the Castello di Brolio. Ricasoli is the Baron who founded the Chianti Classico appellation.
