We will have our 1 year old with us on our next trip to Italy. We previously have always traveled trains and never with an infant. We were hoping to do Tuscany area this trip, but I’ve read that’s best done with a rental car. Has anyone rented a car with a car seat and felt comfortable/safe with it? (First time mom paranoia) thanks!

Bring your car seat from home. The rental agency ones are typically filthy.

I agree with Emily.
You'll want a car seat in the plane, or if baby will be sitting on your lap, then just check you car seat.
