Quirite wrote a passing comment in a previous thread about no Bus Line # 118 in Rome.
Looking at Steves' 2014 Pocket Book on Rome,it states one can take Line #118 from the Appian Way back into the city. I assume that Quirite is correct, and the book has a misprint.I'll be in Rome next month, wanting to go on the Appian Way.
So what IS the proper bus number for that route?
Thanks.
From Rick's Best of Europe 2015 guidebook:
"Bus #118 gets you to the sights on the northern part of the Appian Way. In Rome, catch #118 from either the Piramide or Circo Massimo Metro stops."
(There are other ways to get to other Appian Way destinations, you may want to consult the details in Rick's book).
And Rick continues:
"No matter how you arrive at Appian Way, bus #118 is the easiest and cheapest way to return to Rome."
Are you sure you didn't misread Quirite? Here's the thread where he says the #110 (not the #118) is no longer in operation:

Bus 118 was in service last August, be sure you know where the return bus stop is.
Thanks for correcting and setting me straight. I'll be on #118 for sure!!
