Hello, anyone ever stay at the Palazzo Spasiano or the Il Giardino Segreto in the city center? We’re looking for a room close to center of town, train station, and bus since we are not renting a car. These two places had good reviews, any other ones? We’re staying 3 nights. Going to Pompeii one day and a boat tour around the Amalfi Coast another day. Since city center rooms don’t have a sea view, is there a nice restaurant we can go to that would give a view of the whole harbor and Mt. Vesuvius? Thanking anyone who can help. Marie

You'd never guess The Ulisse Deluxe Hostel is a hostel. I stayed there several years ago for five nights and think I initially read about it in one of Rick's books. My friend and I each had private rooms, with marble bathrooms. The prices couldn't be beat. The dining area is not up to scale, nor is the breakfast, but the rest of the facility was impressive. We also booked a half-day tour to Capri for a reasonable price and enjoyed it.
