Looking for a tour driver recommendation to take us from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello for a day in October.. Want someone who can make recommendations and not just drive us but not looking to spend 500 euros for the day. There are so many options but want someone recommended that's not going to break the bank. Thanks.

Note that this location is a bit less bustling and active in October, although I'm sure still a nice visit. You should expect to pay at least 350 Euros for this request (as a private excursion), and that would be just for a driver with modest knowledge of the area. A driver and guide would be more. Distances, driving difficulty, and gasoline costs are all substantial. This is not comparable to an airport taxi trip. Eight hours is just enough time for your request. Example:

Your price expectations may be too low. We were there in April and the going rate starts at about €550.

In April 2022 we made arrangements with the owner of our B&B in Salerno for the same sort of tour you are seeking. The cost was much less than 500 Euros, might have been less than 200 Euros. He did drop us off in Amalfi for a boat ride up to Positano and back to Salerno, where he picked us up at the dock.
You might have better luck finding someone affordable if you base yourselves in Salerno.

We ( two adults) just used Aldo Limos, based in Sorrento, office right off the main square. We had a package deal because we also used them for Sorrento to Rome and Naples to Sorrento. Christina, in the office, is a Brit, so communication by email was easy. I figured the AC trip ran about 350 €, took about 8-9 hours. They did accept USD, with a fair exchange rate, which was a real advantage to us. We paid a deposit thru PayPal and the balance once we arrived. Met Christina in person, and she was delightful, with lots of local info. Our driver had great English, was entertaining, and very patient with the chaos on those curved roads. We highly recommend this company, and we were just there this past May.

We have used www.angelodriver.com but that was several years ago so I'm unsure of the price. The driver was full of information and stories of the area. We had the driver pick us up at our hotel, drive us along the coast and then back to our hotel in Positano. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

We used Dino recently to drive us from Paestum to Ravello and again from Ravello to Salerno. They were great!
