That’s a pretty broad question, and you will get a wide variety of answers unless you provide some details such as how many days you have, and an idea about what draws you there. History, art, music, scenery? It’s pretty difficult to answer this question, otherwise. You could take a look at the Rick Steve’s tour itinerary and get some ideas from that.

Hi & welcome to the Forum! Not sure if you will be in Ireland or Amsterdam over Easter, but first I would go to a library with your wife & take a look at guidebooks.

Rick has great resources & videos on travel to Amsterdam

If you go to the RS home page, you can type in a search about Amsterdam, there's a LOT about what to do & see, so the list above is just to get you started.

The tulip / spring season is ramping up in early April and Amsterdam will get more crowded the closer you get to tulip season (usually mid April, see the Keukenhof webpage for details). https://keukenhof.nl/en/.

And you may not realize it, but most schools have the week of Good Friday & following week off, so the museums especially & Anne Frank house will be jammed, so book museums ahead! (I would book the first open slot, museums tend to get busier the later in the day you go.)

You've posted this under Ireland, sorry I can only comment about Amsterdam but I suspect Ireland will have more venues shut over Good Friday, Easter Sunday AND Easter Monday.
