Traveling Aer Lingus for the first time next week. If I have the right info from their website it seems to say that your laptop cannot be bigger than 13x10 - my laptop is 14x16. Do I have a problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Yes, I see the same size limits for your "personal item" that you are reading at http://www.aerlingus.com/travelinformation/baggageinformation/cabinbaggage/. Most airlines are concerned that you can and will put this bag under the seat in front of you, not in the overhead compartment. I can't address how closely they will check. On this recent thread, Robert briefly mentions his personal experience. The issue might also be solved by checking your larger bag, or fitting the laptop into your larger, allowed carry-on, if there's room in that bag.
