I will be on a RS tour. I am trying to figure out what I would like to do with my free time in Kinsale. Possibly an afternoon tea someplace. Would be interested in everyone's favorite things to do.
It’s been a couple of years since our RS Ireland tour. I remember Kinsale as being quite small. We took a bus with the group to Charles Fort and then some of us had a very nice walk back into town. We went into several pubs with music in the evening.
Dine on seafood , enjoy the beautiful waterfront setting, go to a pub.
Have a delicious lunch or snack at the Cosy Cafe. You won't be disappointed.
Walks, seafood, galleries, Poets Corner, pub/music, food tour,
harbor cruise; I remember people renting bikes but I don’t
have the information.
Tea: I don’t know your budget but here’s a nice place:

Eat seafood, take the Scilly walk to Charles Fort and back, take photos, have a pint.
Walk out to Charles Fort on one side of the harbour, or walk out to the ruins of James fort on the other side of the harbour and have a picnic lunch.
I spent awhile at the 12th-century St. Multose Church, with some features dating earlier, surrounded by a nice-looking cemetery. On the west door you can see where Cromwell's soldiers sharpened their swords on the sandstone. It's a few blocks west of the harbor. I also enjoyed the harbor tour, including a water-level view up to Charles Fort.
Eat sticky toffee pudding at Jim Edwards.
