HI, on my last night in Ireland at the Grand Canal Hotel, I need a great place to eat and later to listen to traditional Irish music in a pub. Thanks for the suggestions
It's been 5 years since we stayed there, but we went to O'Connor's of Mount Street a couple nights to listen to music. Another night we went to Searsons on a recommendation from locals. It had great music, but it was a big restaurant (not a pub). The Old Spot is very popular for food near the Grand Hotel, and I have read they have music (we've only been there earlier in the day).
Do you happen to be going on a Vagabond tour?
Thanks for the names of the places. I will follow up on them. We are on a CIE tours. Jim
The Old Spot has very good food, but in the 5-6 times I've eaten there, I've never seen/heard any indication of live music.
O'Donoghue's just east of St. Stephen's Green usually has music, though. It's a reasonable walk from your hotel, if the weather is nice.
Enjoy your trip!!
Thanks Stacy I will Google these places and the Hotel. Jim
