Just returned from Ireland. Used the Rick Steve's Ireland 2016 book and used the most wonderful accommodation in Kilkenny. Butler Court is indeed the best lodging value. Yvette was most helpful in helping us orient ourselves to Kilkenny. The accommodations were spacious and offered wonderful amenities. From the delicious breakfast provided in the mini-fridge each morning to the slippers, fresh fruit and tea and biscuits. It is a place I would heartily recommend and would stay again if I was in Kilkenny. Thank you Rick for the recommendation!

My .02 euros, Butler Court was indeed an excellent place to stay, bargain price and convenient location. Had dinner at Matt the Millers, good pub food with live music. Later, more music at Kytlers, which was an excellent place to drink and listen. Kilkenny Castle worth the time to visit as well as Smithwicks.
