Hi - I'm traveling to Ireland alone this summer and found a reasonable deal for citizen M hotel near St Patrick. Does anyone have any idea if this is a fine area to stay in? It looks like a good location for walking to most things but isn't featured in the latest RS travel guide. If Rick doesn't mention it, I'm always leery and would love some input. Thanks.
The RS guides usually don't list chain hotels. It's fine.
That area is fine.
If chain hotels are OK the consider Point A. Perhaps a better location and includes breakfast if a member (free). Rooms are small but fine for 1. In general Ireland lodging is expensive and more so in Dublin.
If the main national museums interest you then St Patrick’s is a better location.
PS: It rains a lot.
Rick only mentions a few hotels. And they are not always the best.
If you aren't familiar with the Citizen M chain, you might want to take a look at the rooms as they are unusual.
