Going to Dublin next spring. Want hotel walking distance to most sights so within a mile. Has anyone ever stayed at the Morgan, Marlin at Stephens Greens, or the Arthaus hotels? What Dublin hotel would you recommend?
A couple of years ago we enjoyed the Camden Court Hotel, just south of St. Stephen’s Green. We walked everywhere. FYI, dinner in the hotel was excellent at the Iveagh Restaurant. Some of the best lamb I have ever eaten anywhere.
We stayed at Buswell's which was fine, but old, and small rooms, so not the vibe you are likely going for with the two you've listed. But, we found that staying near St Stephen's Green was ideal!
We stayed at Staunton’s on the Green. Breakfast was wonderful, room was very nice with comfortable bed but every time someone flushed the toilet above us or turned on a shower the noise from the pipes was horribly loud. And there were several floors above us. Really disappointing. Some people don’t care for it but we’ve also stayed at Buswells several times now and I think it’s a great location, clean and very friendly staff.
Loved Buswell’s! Great ambiance in the historic Georgian neighborhood across from the Capitol.
We stayed at Baggot's Court Townhouse. It'a a bed and breakfast. We were very happy with it. It's about 2 blocks from Stephens Green.
