Dublin airport hotel recommendation

I am looking for a recommendation for a hotel at Dublin Airport (DUB) for 1 night.

I will arrive via rental car after touring Ireland and have an early morning flight home (west coast Canada). Looking for an airport hotel that is clean, quiet, offers free and frequent shuttle service (I think most offer this), and breakfast included option would be a bonus. I am currently considering Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel. Please let me know if you've stayed here - and if it's good/bad/otherwise.

Thank you :)

We've used the Premier Inn on our last 2 trips. Good, clean, quiet room. The breakfast was not free, but was good.

We stayed at Clayton's in March It is a former Radisson. Very clean and comfortable beds. Free shuttle and you can easily walk to the airport. We did the night before to get our boarding passes. There is a very good pub just a six minute walk from the hotel too.

I always stay at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport. Free breakfast, airport shuttle, members' lounge for IHG members which includes drinks, apps buffet, and breakfast. They sometimes have specials.

I've stayed at the Clayton (which was a Radisson then) and Maldron, both right on the airport grounds, with easy shuttle service. I was happy with both. I'm sure the ones farther out are fine, but the shuttle ride will be longer and perhaps less frequent. For just one night I'd stay at the airport itself.

Yes, that was the Clayton's we stayed at. There are two Clayton hotels at the Dublin airport. The one labeled "Central" is the closest to the airport. Look for the pub "Kealy" which is where we ate and just around the corner.

Like the poster, we returned our rental car to Hertz the late afternoon before our flight. The rental car shuttle driver was nice enough to just drop off us at the hotel since it was so close to the airport terminal. Be sure to fill up before you get to the airport because we did not find a lot of gas stations in the area.

Since I have Priority Pass with my credit card, we just got breakfast at the airport lounge. Staying at a Dublin airport hotel the night before our 8 a.m. flight made everything easy.

Filling up: Try the CIRCLE K CLONSHAUGH quite near the airport. Just east of the mega motorway roundabout where M25 and M1 intersect.

Note toll roads all over Ireland, consider a transponder with the rental.
