Doolin Lodgings

Greetings Travelers,

We are looking for recommendations for 3 night stay in Doolin during the first week of March, 2023. We visited the village, before Covid, while on a bus tour of the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher and have to return for a longer stay. We will be taking public transport to Doolin from Dublin so we would prefer lodging in or very near to the village. We are a retired couple in our mid-70s but are physically able to travel.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I can recommend Aille River Hostel in Doolin. We stayed there precovid and loved it. Don’t let the fact that it’s a hostel put you off. We were in our late 60’s when we were there. People were very friendly! Easy walk to Doolin center and there was a great place to eat across the road from the hostel. Don’t know if it’s still there or not. Ask for a pint of Dooliner beer. It was pretty darn good! You also have easy access to the walking trail to Cliffs of Moher from here. Just have to be aware of the bulls along the way…

Greetings:

After contacting several B&B, we have selected Riverside Cottage in Doolin. Since we are traveling by bus from Galway, Riverside Cottage is just a short walk from the bus stop. Thank you for your help. So looking forward to visiting Doolin.

Safe travels,

Dave
