Cashel and Dingle

Two very good Ireland B&Bs:
Joy's Rockside House in Cashel--Large clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly hostess. An added plus is Joan will allow you to leave your car in their car park while you go to the Rock of Cashel. That saves you some parking dollars.
Bambury's Guesthouse in Dingle--large modern rooms (ours was at the top with sloped ceilings); EXCELLENT breakfasts with lots of choices. It's easy to find; you will see it as you enter town. It's only a few blocks walk to the harbor and downtown.

Milestone House is another excellent B&B in Dingle. Beautiful views, easy parking, nice rooms. Barbara welcomed us with tea and biscuits shortly after we arrived and gave us a local map with tips on the pubs with good food and the best music that night as well as good sights and hikes on the peninsula for the following day. As we were traveling with our 2 teenagers, we rented 2 rooms. They were adjacent in their own separate wing with a separate door we could lock giving us plenty of privacy. Our boys are still talking about the breakfasts, the best meals we had in Ireland. In a wonderful gesture as we packed up our final morning, Barbara offered to throw our clothes in her dryer. They were still wet from a drenching rain we had endured the day before. So nice not to have to worry about fermenting clothes in the suitcase as we drove up to Doolin.

Love Joy's place. She is a fantastic hostess. I've stayed at her place a few times.... The view of Cashel at night with the light reflecting on the Rock is a pretty sweet view from the window in the rooms. We will be visiting Cashel in a few weeks with extended family, however, will not be staying at Joy's place, because we are self-catering on the shores of Lough Derg.
