Cafe at Eason’s and Tower Records on O’Connell street

I recommend the cafe on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in US counting) for a breakfast or lunch on O’Connell’s street. I had a lunch special with an enormous serving of Irish stew (with veg and mashed) and a rice pudding dessert. The mains were all steam table things (like a curry, shepherds pie, or beef stew). It was excellent. It’s served cafeteria style. They also have nice selection of baked items. Coffee, tea and espresso from the automated machine their baristas use. Plenty of tables in a very comfortable room. O’Connell street can be tough for a quick breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price. This was fantastic. Tower Records is on the same floor. First floor I think was stationery and gifts. Ground floor was a good book selection (Chapters on Parnell is better). I think there is a basement level as well that might be the children’s books.
