Butler Court - Kilkenny

Butler Court was by far our favorite place we stayed on our three week journey to Ireland this summer. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless, modern, and spacious. The food left in the room is a delightful touch, and very delicious. Yvonne and John run a great spot, and are gracious hosts able to answer all questions. The location is a short walk to town center and is right near Kilkenny Castle. Thanks Rick Steeves for a great recommendation! I highly recommend! Five Stars!

We stayed there in 1999. It was lovely and our room was huge. Glad to hear it's still a great place to stay. One amusing note - we couldn't find the place and finally asked a garda for directions. Instead of just telling us, he turned on his blinker and guided us through town to Butler Court's front entrance. The place was originally the home of the dowager countess.

I stayed here in May of 2015 and loved it, your close to all the interesting sites and the Castle is a 100 ft away.
