Hi! Trying to buy a train ticket from Belfast to Dublin on August 6th via the link the guidebook recommended- translink.co.uk - but the date calendar won't let me book anything after July. Am I doing something wrong or do they just release tickets a month in advance? Any thoughts are most welcome.
That date is available via the Irish Rail site. https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/
Trainslink is a third party seller. Irishrail, mentioned above, is the actual operator of the train. Buy direct.
No,you can't actually book this itinerary on Irish rail. When you try to book it it will say it's "originating in Northern Ireland and you need to use transrail" In this case, I would just mark a calendar for 1 month before- there will be seat left.
FYI,we took a bus and the trip was fine. Bought the tickets when inBelfast. City center to city center. Don’t remember the cost or time. Just another alternative.
