Ariel House B+B, Ballsbridge

We had a great stay at this b+b in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin. It is more like a small hotel and they treat every guest like they are special visitors. It's a very lovely quiet area with Georgian style homes and buildings everywhere. Breakfasts are very good - hot and cold selections. It's about a 20 minute walk to Merton Square and a 2 minute walk to a DART station. The Aircoach route 702 or 703 from the airport is very close by. There are a number of restaurants, pubs, post office and other amenities in the area.

A friend and I stayed there in 1992 when we went to the Dublin Horse Show before our Donegal trail ride. Ariel House was great then. Glad to know that it still is. Thanks for the review.

We have stayed there as well. The only negative, not walking distance to city center. For this reason, I will not stay there again. Otherwise, it was fine.

I love Ballsbridge and found the buses easy to catch into the center, but I can understand if you really want to be walking distance it’s not really the place. But the neighborhood is so nice and I like the contrast between downtown and the more upscale Ballsbridge. Also for that handy airport bus!

Thanks for the tip on Ariel House — when I visited Dublin two times before, I stayed with a friend, but she is no longer there. Glad to know of this good option!
