Thought it very interesting that your packing list included some of your mother's ashes. Never saw this on anyone's packing list or never noticed it before.
bostonphil--lol, yes, mom came along with me. She passed in December so we are taking her all over the world now. She went to Norway with me a few weeks ago, and now is in a special place in Iceland. Just a pinch or so of her. I sobbed on my friend's shoulder for a moment, but knew that mom would love it. The day we left we felt like we were in the Amazing Race, it was such a curveball to be thrown to us! I knew there was the one earlier flight, but also knew that an entire flight was also wanting on that one, so moved as fast as I possible could to make that happen.
