I will be in Budapest in early October 2023. Will the National Gallop take place this year? I have searched but have only found links to past years' events. If it is still taking place, what are the dates it will be held? thanks

Thanks. The dates in the post are October 6 and 7, which are Friday and Saturday. Wondering if these dates are 2022? I can’t seem to find any “official” information when I search.

Update - when I searched yesterday, the http://vagta.hu/ website only had 2019 information on it. It seems it is more updated now, but only with information about the 2023 regional competitions leading up to the finals. There is a link to a facebook page, but it does not have 2023 information:

Sadly I will be there later in October so will miss it this year. :) I also had no idea what was going to happen, but I think maybe I would go to the second day on a second time around. Mister Éh should be along later with ideas on that question. I wondered if there were demonstrations of horseback riding on the second day - the first day was all races.

It's all good. Either day and tge VIP tickets are worth the few extra dollars.
My favorite was the race of the Embassy representatives. One year the US rep almost fell off his horse
This isn't the first year they have been slow to update their site. Maybe soon I hope.
