I’m looking for a “personal” bag (not a regular carry on bag). I’m having trouble finding a bag which is 16x12x5 inches - Lufthansa size restrictions. This is the bag a traveler would use instead of a handbag. Not a traditional carryon.

They are strict. Do you want a backpack, tote or wheeled bag? (And it is a common topic here, so check out the Packing forum)

This item with those particular dimensions has emerged due to the laptop -- SO many people have to carry these on ... BTW, you may ALSO Carry on a handbag (if u are a woman), or a smallish backpack. These are separate from items we consider "Carryon LUggage" - - i.e. a "rollaboard" of not more than 21" and about 43 lbs -- or a big backpack ditto.
