I would love some hotel ideas for Athens. Please note what you liked about the location and the hotel.
Thanks everyone!

Our group tour had us booked into the titania hotel, it was lovely, food was great
We really liked the AthensWas design hotel. It is on a shady pedestrian street and only a couple of blocks from the Acropolis and the Plaka area. It is near restaurants also. Our room had a balcony and the breakfast was very good.
Our stay at InnAthens was great! It is very close to Syntagma Square; easy walking to other locations; lots of restaurants nearby. Modern hotel with spacious rooms; efficient A/C; immaculately clean; great breakfast and a staff that was welcoming and focused on the needs of their guests. https://www.innathens.com/
I just got back from Athens earlier this week and had a nice stay at the Hera Hotel, which was a recommendation from this forum. It's a very short walk from the Acropolis metro station and the southeast entrance to the Acropolis itself. I splurged for a nicer room and found it had plenty of closet space and a comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning is fine and it was very convenient to not have to think about finding coffee and food first thing in the morning.
Two things to note: the one elevator is small and slow, and if you have a room that faces the street there's a sports bar nearby so you may hear some cheering after games.
We just returned from Athens and stayed in the The Artist Hotel. I highly recommend it. It has a rooftop restaurant with great food and a view of the Acropolis. The staff is very friendly and they have a great breakfast. They also have a shady spot outdoors where we were able to enjoy a glass of wine the afternoon. I would definitely stay there again.
