WE are staying at the Hilton Munich City. And we need to catch the train from Munich to Frankfurt Airport. How is the best way to do this?

A small addition to the link above: Please note that none of the S-Bahn lines (S1-S6, S8) have the main station as their terminus. Don't be confused by finding all sorts of strange destinations listed, the main station is always listed as an intermediate station (sometimes abbreviated as “Hbf”). After arriving at the main station, take the escalator to the mezzanine floor, follow the sign “DB” (or: “Fernzüge”) and take another escalator to the station hall, north side. In the middle of the hall is a large display board where you will find the platform for your train.

Every S-Bahn in the westbound direction from Rosenheimer Platz goes to the Hauptbahnhof. During the day, that is every 2 to 5 minutes, so just get on the first train in that direction.
